Wind (feat. Yukimi Nagano)

Sleep Walker is one of those bands that was always recommended to me as an enjoyer of Soil & “Pimp” Sessions. At the time I never really grasped the connection, as I thought they were much slower and less aggressive, so they didn’t really click for me. I’ve recently started to revisit their stuff though, and it’s actually quite good. They are very clear Pharoah Sanders fans, as they constantly borrow licks from his songs, but I mean, that happens in jazz all the time. I probably need to finally pick up an album next time I’m in Japan rather than constantly passing them up, though knowing my luck this will be the time where they are nowhere to be found.
