Funkin' for Jamaica

YouTube’s algorithm had put me on a track of videos about beautifully architected houses, and the last one I watched was in Marfa, TX. A very small art enclave in far west Texas about 50 miles from the border with Mexico.

A few years back, we passed through for a night on the way to see Tristine’s folks in Houston. As we were driving out of town, we saw Marfa’s public radio building. I snapped a picture and forgot about it – until that video.

I decided to take a look at their programming schedule and came across: “Funky Beats” with David Harding. An amazing show that pushes the boundaries of what is and what probably is not funk. This was one of the tracks he played.
