Underwater Boi

Turnstile does this cool thing where, after they finish an album cycle, they release a remix EP that’s usually in a completely different genre from their typical hardcore. After the critically acclaimed Glow On, they put out this EP with BADBADNOTGOOD, which on paper shouldn’t work at all.

But it’s actually fantastic. The songs get reworked with jazz arrangements, and that change of register really helps emphasize the vocals — which can sometimes get drowned out in the mix on the original.
