Mystery Girl

I was fortunate enough to see Ivy on one of their reunion shows last month, and it was really cool to hear them play some of my old favorites and some tracks from the new album. This is a band that probably should not be in my wheelhouse, but I don’t know, something about it seems so earnest and it resonates a weird nostalgia for moments in my life and the excitement of growing up in New York. I guess for a similar reason the movie Frances Ha really resonated with me too.
