Let's Start

I saw the Fela Kuti musical many years ago when it was on Broadway, which I really enjoyed, but also realized that I didn’t know much about his music in general. After that point I started to seek out some pieces, most of which are probably best found in some of the numerous compilation sets, rather than trying to track down individual releases. But this is one I only came across recently, a cool live performance that I feel does a good job of capturing what one of his shows would have sounded like. I wasn’t there so I don’t know for sure, but let’s just assume it did.
