Bitch to the Boys

In wanting to learn more about the background of bands like Jamiroquai and also city pop to figure out what their influences were, I ended up going through some British funk and jazz-adjacent music from the 70s/80s, and Shakatak popped up frequently, specifically their albums Night Birds, Out of This World, and Drivin’ Hard. I think through a song like this one you can definitely sense some of where city pop derived its sound. I think I also remember from the Jamiroquai subreddit that one of their newer songs actually interpolates a piece from a song from one of these albums. Can’t remember which one though.
