This is the closing credits theme for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. I’ve always been a fan of late night talk shows. I grew up watching Johnny Carson, remember watching his last episode, and probably even Leno’s first.

I still have a soft spot for some Leno bits — Headlines, Jaywalking, even Iron Jay. But as I got older I gravitated more toward Conan’s more manic and avant-garde stylings.

This song reminds me of being a kid staying up late watching this stuff and being mad when shows would get preempted because of Wimbledon coverage. It wasn’t as bad as the Westminster Dog Show preempting Monday Night Raw every year, though. That was egregious and I will never forgive them.
