About Nothing for the Love of Destiny
P.M. Dawn
I never really listened to PM Dawn growing up because I hated “Set Adrift on Memory Bliss” and I wasn’t interested in their style of emotional rap/R&B. It’s only just now that I’ve started to give them a fair shot and honestly I’m pretty impressed.
Their production is ahead of its time and there is a clear through line from this to the stuff Drake and other rappers are doing these days. It’s actually unfortunate that these guys haven’t gotten their due props for whatever reason.
Also their fourth album has an incredible title: Dearest Christian, I’m So Very Sorry for Bringing You Here. Love, Dad.
