Surf Generator / Part of the Threat (Live)

Been on a bit of a post punk kick lately. Although, this track lives in a weird space between The Ventures and The Fall. The live cut is raw. It sounds like it was recorded in an abandoned building – which it looks like it may have been – and I love it.

Since Chris and I started doing this blog and the radio show (shout out to Freeform Portland for giving us airtime), I’ve found myself digging deeper and deeper into community driven radio and DJ sets. And it’s from a Humano Studios session with DJs Aleeens & Travesty that I found this one.

Hopping up on my soapbox for a second. Support local radio. Support creative music. Find people who play what you like and challenge your tastes. It matters.
