Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile was my son’s first movie in theaters (aside from some matinees when he was a newborn) and it was fun to see how much the emotional moments affected him as a 4-year-old. The movie is clumsy, but fun. Honestly better than I was expecting. The music is solid, but this track stands out, punching above its weight class. We’ve listened to this many times and sing together. A few years have passed but when I put this on the other night his eyes lit up as we remembered the words together. Afterwards he told me that he’s getting a little old for this song, but he’s full of shit.
