Dreamcast heads rise up! Today marks the 26th anniversary of the release of the console in the United States.

I’ve always been a fan of rhythm games and Space Channel 5 is one of my all time favorites. It’s got everything TV, aliens, 70’s aesthetics, (space) Michael Jackson. Just an insanely campy game that I don’t really understand how it even got greenlit. Also it’s fundamentally broken from a gameplay perspective, the button inputs don’t actually line up with the music so it’s damn near impossible to play. But the songs within are so good that you’ll struggle through. Case in point.

I don’t think this game has ever been rereleased on any other console so you’re kind of out of luck if you want to play it on anything other than an original Dreamcast.

One song per day. Two hundred words or less.
