Are You Jimmy Ray?

I grew up in Tennessee and I remember this song being really big in the early 90s. Again, as a child, I thought it was really good and probably even taped it off the TV at one point with my Talkboy so I could listen to it on the go. I did that a lot growing up, before I had a CD collection or was actually really serious about music, most of my taste was set passively and I just picked out what I liked through osmosis or maybe just repetition.

I haven’t heard this song played in forever which is strange because I feel like I still hear even worse songs from that weird country pop culture revival period like Cotton Eyed Joe by Rednex.
