Tsunami (Inside My Soul)

I went through a major downtempo phase in college. I was really burnt out on rap and new releases in the early 2000s time frame weren’t particularly exciting to me - with the exception of College Dropout, but I’ll touch on Kanye another time.

Anyway, during this hiatus I was digging deep into things like Kruder and Dorfmeister, Thievery Corporation - pretty much all of the Hed Kandi winter chill compilations.

Don’t remember exactly how I came across this song, probably oink.me.uk (RIP), but it was an instant hit. Tried for a long time to import the CD but no dice - thanks Barnes and Noble. I eventually ended up finding this on vinyl like a decade later at A-1 Record Shop in Manhattan.
