In the middle of the decade-long gap between his debut and (amazing) follow-up album When the Lights Go, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (or TEED, as he now runs as) dropped this single. I’ve always loved it and the mid-song feel change always hits me hard. In a Tape Notes interview a few years ago he talks about using the KORG minilogue joystick to mimic guitar on synth. Can’t confirm that is what is happening here but I’ve always loved the guitar riff on this track.
