Allergic to Bitches

After almost a decade of procrastination I finally made my way to Taiwan a few years ago. I should have gone much sooner, despite it being in the middle of monsoon season and humid as all hell, it was incredible. I had a wonderful time catching up with old friends and eating great food at the night markets - as well as enjoying some fine Kavalan whiskey.

Anyway, one thing that I generally do when traveling is try to catch a local concert. I found this cool bar called Revolver that has bands playing every night for a nominal cover. So on a free night I swung by and checked it out. It seemed to be a punk night and a few bands came through, playing loud and fast in a cramped dark box that could maybe host like 70 people max. BB bomb was one of the opening acts and was really impressed by their sound and since most of the band names were in mandarin I didn’t actually catch the others.

Long story short, support local scenes when you travel. You may walk away with some cool music that you never would have encountered otherwise.
