ILUSIÓN DE TI

Back when Tris and I were living on the Paw, friends would always stop by to chill, have some drinks, and listen to records. Late one Saturday night, hanging out with our friend John and making our way through a rack of Coors Light, this video came on a NYC public access channel. Winds up he was living in Jersey City at the time too.

This track has got a lot of Afrobeat influence, especially from Tony Allen and Fela Kuti. It’s also got elements of Frestyle. It’s a blend uniquely NY/NJ (even if he now lives on the west coast).
