Death Comes from the Sky

Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s self-titled debut is one of the last albums I remember downloading and listening to in iTunes. I remember blasting it in my first post-college apartment while I cooked dinner after a bullshit day working for a call center. I’ve always appreciated the texture of their music. When I saw them at Capitol Hill Block Party in 2015 I was struck by how that texture persisted in their live performance through their sound selection and vocal delivery. Been enjoying their latest EP and using it as a reminder to revisit their catalog, which is great.
