Beach Boys were always road trip music for our family. My dad would record to cassette from vinyl in the basement. A mad scientist, fiddling with levels, getting maximum sound quality out of the shitty medium – because it mattered, especially when listening to Pet Sounds.

RIP Brian Wilson 1942-2025. Thanks for the memories.
