If It's Gone

You know when a band sounds like where they’re from? When the sound is a reflection of the environment? Where you hear sunshine or grey skies? Good Looks sounds like Austin.

We happened to be in town – on a months long exodus from Seattle – for their album release party at The Ballroom at Spider House. It was really fucking hot outside. Inside it was packed. Everyone was dancing as they played basically their entire catalog for a local crowd.

The thing I remember most though was a story their lead guitarist told mid set about being hit by a car while riding his bike, then reminding everyone to wear their helments.
