God Lives Through

Back in college I was a DJ for some local radio stations and every time I started hosting a new show this would always be the last song that I would play as I signed off on the first episode. The thing I love about this (other than the amazing sample flips) is that it just feels like a victory lap, an acknowledgement that you’ve done something amazing and a thank you to everyone who has supported you along the way - which to me I think the entirety of Midnight Marauders is following the highly acclaimed Low End Theory. Also the sudden ending lets it be known that it’s good to reflect and celebrate but the job’s not done yet.
