How many classic rock songs have a trumpet solo in the middle? Probably not many. This is a song that everyone probably knows the melody to but maybe hasn’t ever heard in full. Especially if you’re like me and played too much NBA Street Volume 2, shout out Chief Rocka.

It won a Grammy in 1970 for Best Instrumental Arrangement, and I think it’s pretty clear why. It’s got a strong, almost show tunes level arrangement.
